Vacation Bible School @Home

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, "Social Distancing", etc. we are not able to hold a regular Vacation Bible School this year.  However, just because we are not able to gather together for a week of fun and learning, it doesn't mean we stop our faith formation.  Our faith is very important as we deal with the fear and uncertainty we are experiencing in these times.  We want to be sure we are continuing to model that faith for our children.   The St. John Vacation Bible School director and teachers are working to put together fun activities that students and parents can use at home.  The first one is based on the theme of prayer.  It is a PDF packet that you can download containing education materials, fun activities, even ideas for a themed snack.

When I was a kid, I remember singing the song at Vacation Bible School, "The church is not a building; the church is not a steeple; the church is not a resting place; the church is a people."  We are now learning what that means in a whole new way.

So until we can meet again, let us pray, and wash our hands, and consider our neighbors as we continue to be the church!
